Citing Sources

Need to cite an article in APA? Figure out in text citations for MLA? Format footnotes in Chicago? These resources will go a long way in making sure your work is properly cited and professor-approved.

Finding and documenting resources

Your project will probably require you to consult primary sources, like someone's diary entries or Census records; secondary sources such as books about a group's culture or most articles in academic journals (though some do present primary source material!); or both. It is a good idea to document your sources as you work so you do not lose track of where you found them and what information was pulled out for your project. Read through the resources below to find out more about locating, documenting, and citing the sources of information you use in your honors project.
