What is Grammarly?

Grammarly logo

Grammarly is an automated online writing support tool that does far more than just highlight grammar and spelling errors. The program offers contextual advice and suggestions for improving sentence structure, word choice, and style for all kinds of documents. It can even help prevent plagiarism by checking for unoriginal text against a database of over 8 billion web pages. The Keleher Learning Commons is pleased to offer USM students, faculty, and staff free access to the premium academic version of Grammarly, known as Grammarly@EDU.

The link below will take you to the Grammarly@EDU sign up page, where you can register a new account using a my.stmary.edu or stmary.edu email address. Once you have registered, you will receive an email confirming your registration. Click on the link in the confirmation email and you will have full access to all of Grammarly's premium apps and browser plugins.

The registration process requires a stmary.edu email domain for verification, and you should NOT be prompted for an access code to register your account. If you have already used your USM email address to register at grammarly.com instead of grammarly.com/edu, you must delete your account and re-register using the link below.
