Forensic Nursing: The Body as a Crime Scene
with Board Certified Advanced Forensic Nurse Jacqlynn Asherman

Course Highlights:

  • The scope of forensic nursing
  • Principles of trauma-informed interactions
  • Identifying physical findings and psychosocial impacts of sexual assault, domestic violence, strangulation, and other violent situations
  • Connect physical findings to weapons
  • Review evidence collection guidelines and exam findings after sexual assault
  • Practice photo-documentation of assault injuries

Food will be provided by the Leavenworth Police Department and Keleher Learning Commons

This is a FREE training

Open all law enforcement, healthcare providers, SADV advocates, and any campus staff, faculty, and students

There are three sessions of this 8 hour training, please register for only one session.

Session 1:
