"Intelligence" encompasses the ability to learn and reason, generalize, and infer meaning. Artificial intelligence includes the theory behind and development of computer systems able to perform tasks that usually depend on humans' capacity for rational thought, such as decision-making, speech recognition, visual perception, and language translation.
