To check out or download ebooks, you will be prompted to either Sign In to My EBSCOhost or Create a new Account. This is not connected with your St. Mary accounts, either eSpire or email. The ID and password are entirely created by you, and the USM librarians do not have access to your log in information.
If you have not set up a MyEBSCOhost account, select Create a new Account.
After clicking on a book title you can choose to view the eBook Full Text online, or download to a computer or eReader for up to seven days.
Options on the right side enable you to print off a limited number of pages, email the book title to yourself or others, and more.
If you would like to download an eBook, click on the Download link (when available). For downloads to a personal computer, you will be prompted to download Adobe Digital Editions. To download to an eReader or mobile device, click on the option to the right that matches your device.
After searching for a topic or title, you can find similar eBooks by selecting from the Subject or Category lists on the left; or by clicking on a title and selecting a hyperlinked Subject or Category option.
